San Marco Beach
The San Marco di Calatabiano beach extends in the coastal area south of the mouth of the Alcantara river, immersed in an area of high naturalistic value between the mouth of the Alcantara and that of the Fiumefreddo river. It is a sand and pebble beach among the most beautiful in eastern Sicily and a stone's throw from Etna, several kilometers long and bordered by a reforestation of acacias and eucalyptus trees. The sea that bathes it is blue and clear, always very clean thanks to the limited number of settlements along the coast. The beach is in some places equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds.
