War memorial in Casalvecchio Siculo
The War Memorial in Casalvecchio Siculo, located at the entrance to the village, in the square in front of the town hall, is dedicated to the fallen soldiers of Casalvecchio in all the wars.
It is a stainless steel sculpture by the sculptor Antonino Ucchino. It has a pyramidal shape with two opposing images: at the top stands a figure that symbolizes the utopia of freedom and justice, at the bottom a figure emerges that represents the violence suffered and the fall of human dignity. Next to the sculpture are the plaques with the names of the fallen.
