The War Memorial in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia is a bronze work by Salvatore Incorpora created in 2000.
The work depicts a mother who has yet to give birth, which represents the hope of life that is renewed beyond the evil that surrounds her. Around the mother stand four figures crushed by a weight, which represents war, squeezed by the need for a future of peace which they place on the child, entwined in the arms and breasts of his tired mother.
