Santissima Annunziata Church in Francavilla di Sicilia
The Church of the Santissima Annunziata in Francavilla di Sicilia , built in 1550, represents the main work of sacred architecture in the town.
The church has a Latin cross plan and consists of a central nave and from two sides, from the transept and from the presbytery. The side aisles are separated from the central one by two rows of columns with Doric capitals.
The high altar is in inlaid marble, behind it the choir is carved in wood. Of particular interest are the altar with Saint Euplio and the statue of the patron Saint Barbara.
