Church of San Giovanni in Savoca
The Church of San Giovanni in Savoca is an ancient building of worship located in the neighborhood of the same name.
The date of construction of the church is not known: the first documents in which the church is mentioned date back to the early years of the 17th century, but it is believed that the original structure is much older. It was adjacent to and at the service of the ancient Savoca Hospital, active until the 19th century and depended on the mother church of Savoca. At the beginning of the 20th century it was already in ruins. Recent restoration works have restored the roof.
