Palace of Curia in Savoca
The Palace of the Curia of Savoca no longer exists today. It was located in via San Michele against the city walls, right next to the city gate. What remains to be observed today are the corner stones that were placed at the base of the building. In fact, it collapsed following the earthquake of 1908.
The ancient curia was a three-storey building, owned by the Archimandrite of the Santissimo Salvatore, having monumental value, built in the 14th century. This building was characterized by the presence, in the main facade, of two pointed sandstone arches of fine workmanship. From its origins it housed the city's civil and judicial magistracies inside.
