Baglio Anselmi Archaeological Museum in Marsala
The Regional Archaeological Museum of Marsala , which is located in the Baglio Anselmi , formerly a winery, is part of the Archaeological Park of Lilibeo .
The most important exhibit kept inside the museum is a Punic ship , found in 1969 in the waters off the Isola Grande, at the northern mouth of the Stagnone lagoon, as a unique specimen in the world. . Inside the exhibition spaces we find numerous archaeological finds dating back to the 2nd and 1st century BC. up to the 1st century AD, and an extraordinary collection of amphorae that indicate the flourishing commercial activity in this sea.
