Burgio Spanò Palace in Marsala
The Palazzo Burgio Spanò was built in the early twentieth century, is located on the corner of via XI Maggio and via Eliodoro Lombardi, in front of Palazzo Fici.
Its facade is rich in elements architectural features of a certain classicism, much appreciated at the beginning of the last century: columns, capitals, festoons and friezes. It stands out from the rest of the stately buildings in the city center for the decidedly lighter color of its façade. The façade culminates with a sixteenth-century mold, with a mask and with the family crest. Of particular note and suggestion is the solution of the entrance portal, placed right on the rounded corner of the building.
Today, inside it, exhibitions of Italian artists are organized.
