The Delia Nivolleli DOC appellation includes the red and white wines of the area around the famous wine town of Marsala. The denomination takes its singular name from the Delia river and the Nivolelli marshes, reclaimed in the early years of the last century. This area and its wines obtained the DOC in June 1998. Delia Novelleli DOC wines are typically dry. The red grapes grown for the production of this DOC are the classics grown in Sicily in the production of reds, a mixture of native Sicilian grapes, Nero d'Avola and Perricone, here called Pignatello, and the classic French nobles, Syrah above all. , then Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Italian Sangiovese. The combination of these grapes guarantees specific organoleptic qualities for high-ranking wines.
