The prickly pear is one of the most particular fruits of Sicily. Braidi, a hamlet of Montalbano Elicona, is one of the main producers of this fruit in Sicily. In Montalbano Elicona this fruit is used for the preparation of numerous specialties such as mustards, jams, ice creams, granitas and desserts.
