Sicilian grape mustard
The Sicilian grape mustard, also known as Mustata, is an ancient recipe of the Sicilian culinary tradition. It is a dessert, the main ingredient of which is grape must, which is prepared in September during the harvest period. This dessert can be eaten as soon as it is ready and in this case it has a consistency similar to that of pudding. Alternatively, it can be dried in the sun and consumed even after a few weeks. The natural sugars present in grapes and the use of particular spices and aromas such as cloves, cinnamon and orange peel make this dessert very aromatic.
