Mustazzoli of Pantelleria

The Mustazzoli di Pantelleria are traditional Sicilian sweets which, unlike the classic Sicilian mostaccioli, have a truly spectacular appearance. Pantelleria mustazzóla are traditionally prepared during the Christmas period and are characterized by the filling, a mixture of semolina, honey and cooked wine. Pantelleria mustaccioli are a mixture of flavors and aromas; honey, aromas, spices create a winning combination for the most refined palates.
They are kept in tin containers, to be consumed in the following months. The preparation is very complex and is handed down between the different generations. The preparation involves entire families and several generations who cross each other and come together to decorate and enrich them.
