The Salaparuta DOC denomination represents an important wine growing area in the Sicily region. It includes red and white wines from grapes grown in a small area 50 km south-west of the capital of the Sicilian region. The wines of the Salaparuta DOC appellation are mainly based on the common white Catarratto, glossy white Catarratto, Calabrese, Merlot, Inzolia, Grillo, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah vines.
