Santa Margherita di Belice DOC appellation is found in Sicily and includes red and white wines from a small area located 16 km inland from Sciacca, on the southern coast of the island. They are white and red wines with the specification of one of the following grape varieties: Catarratto, Grecanico, Ansonica, Nero d'Avola and Sangiovese. The production area belongs to a plateau where the presence of viticulture is testified from the times of the Greek colonization in Sicily and also during the period of imperial Rome. Santa Margherita di Belice PDO Bianco has a pale straw yellow color with greenish reflections; the sense of smell is defined by intense floral sensations, white pulp fruit and aromatic herbs; on the palate it is soft and fruity, with flavor and persistence of taste. Santa Margherita di Belice PDO Rosso has a ruby ​​red color with shades tending to garnet; the olfactory notes of ripe red fruit blend with spicy and mineral sensations;
