Aeolian Spicchiteddi
Biscuit
The Aeolian Spicchiteddi are typical biscuits of the confectionery tradition of the Aeolian Islands. These are almond biscuits with a strong aroma of cooked wine and fresh notes of citrus fruits, cloves and cinnamon. Generally they are made in the shape of a snail and garnished with an almond. They are consumed in the Aeolian Islands at the end of festive meals often accompanied by Malvasia, the sweet wine of the Aeolian Islands.
