Milo Mill
The Mill of Milo is one of the symbols of this village and traces its history starting from the Byzantine era.
It is believed, in fact, that the Mill of Milo was built on a structure dating back to the Byzantine era, in the last years of the fourteenth century, as evidenced by some documents kept in the municipal archives which ascertain its existence already at that time. era. It was built to allow the inhabitants of the woods and nearby districts to grind their grain.
Today the Mill of Milo, the subject of careful restoration, has been redeveloped: one of its arches has been rebuilt with the aim of showing the monumentality of the structure; Two of its structures have been brought to light, that of the actual mill and the one in which the hydraulic machine was located. It is also possible to distinguish the various shelves where the flour was placed after processing, the holds where the cereals were placed before grinding and various shelves used for the hydraulic mechanism.
