Museum of Natural Sciences in Randazzo

Civic Museum of Natural Sciences of Randazzo exhibits the Priolo ornithological collection and the Lino geological collection.
The orthithological collection , begun in 1939 by Angelo Priolo and built over thirty years.
The collection was originally dedicated only to Italian avifauna, but over time it has expanded to exotic birds, and today it consists of about 2000 pieces of 400 different species. Within the collection there are also extinct species such as the Francolin and the Little Bustard.
The geological collection , created by Luigi Lino, is made up of fossils, minerals, rocks and shells, mostly collected in Sicily. The most important piece of the collection is a wonderful diorama that reproduces a corner of the valley of the Rosmarino stream.
