Lion Fountain in Gangi
The Lion Fountain in Gangi is a valuable monument of the village.
It is located in a corner of the main square and represents a lion coming out of a cave to quench its thirst.
It is a gift that the mayor Gioacchino Mocciaro gave to the citizens in 1931 to pay homage to the courage shown by the gangitans in the fight against the rural mafia during the siege that Gangi had to suffer in January 1926 by the iron prefect Mori.
