In Palermo were filmed some scenes of the second season of The White Lotus series set in Sicily.
The White Lotus is an American TV series awarded at the 2022 Emmy Awards as best miniseries of the season and winner of several awards including best director, best screenplay. The series, written and directed by Mike White, who conquered everyone with his poetic and surreal atmospheres, narrates the working and confidential dynamics of the workers and guests of a prestigious hotel.
After the first exciting season filmed in the Hawaiian Islands , the second series was filmed in Sicily. For this reason it assumed the international name The White Lotus: Sicily.
The White Lotus 2 was set in a luxurious hotel in Taormina but several scenes were also shot in the city of Noto, Cefalù and Palermo.
In the third episode of The White Lotus Season 2, Bull Elephants, Daphne (Meghann Fahy) and Harper (Aubrey Plaza) take a trip to the city of Noto and will stay in a picturesque villa from the 1500s which is actually Villa Tasca in Palermo.
