Remains of the mills in Delia
The remains of the mills of Delia testify to the importance that agricultural activity had in this area.
Behind the Sabuci Castle, near the Salso river, you can still admire the remains of two of the four mills present in this territory and the truncated pyramid pillar that allowed them to be powered.
The mills date back to 1788, the period in which they were built, at the behest of the prince of Palagonia, by Don Calogero La Rizza.
The last mill stopped working at the beginning of the last century.
