Feast of the farmer in Pennisi

The Farmer's Festival in Pennisi, a hamlet of Acireale, is the festival dedicated to wellbeing, health and the gastronomic excellence of the area.
On the occasion of the event, stands are set up in the main square of the town where you can taste agricultural products and peasant specialties such as freshly produced grape mustard, macaroni handmade by peasant women, seasoned bread, roasted sausage, local fruit. Numerous stands with local artisan products are also set up.
During the festival the traditional pressing of grapes takes place in the square, and extemporaneous preparation of grape mustard, ricotta and mustazzolie.
The whole event will be interspersed with folkloristic and entertainment shows.
