Feast of Mary SS. of Carmel in Ragalna

The Feast of the Holy Mary. del Carmelo in Ragalna takes place on 16 July, the day of the liturgical anniversary, and in the month of September when the great external celebration takes place. This is the most awaited religious festival in the village of Ragalna: Maria SS. del Carmelo is the patron saint of the village and every year solemn celebrations are organized in her honour.
On the occasion of the external festival a rich religious calendar takes place which culminates, on the day of the festival, with the triumphal exit of the fercolo welcomed by the shot of fireworks, the festive sound of the band and the ringing of the bells. This is followed by the solemn procession of the Simulacrum of the Patron Saint through the streets of the historic centre. The celebrations end with a grandiose fireworks display.
On the days of celebration, various moments of music, shows and entertainment are planned.
