Bread Festival in San Biagio Platani
The Bread Festival in San Biagio Platani takes place every year in the month of August and has the aim of making known and enhancing the culinary tradition of this village and the artisan knowledge of the community of San Biagio Platani: the artistic processing of Bread that every year decorates the monumental Easter Arches.
On the occasion of the festival, various demonstration activities are organized during which the workers make the artistic bread of the Easter Arches, show cooking with the preparation of typical local dishes and the tasting of typical Sicani products, such as Guasteddi and ricotta, Guasteddi and oil, cakes with flour of ancient grains and much more.
During the event there will also be a market exhibition of typical products, and various moments of folklore and entertainment to celebrate the excellence of the Sican agri-food products.
