Feast of San Calogero in Cesarò
The Feast of San Calogero in Cesarò, the patron saint of the village, traditionally takes place on 18 June, the day of the liturgical anniversary, and on 21 August, the day of thanksgiving at the end of the wheat harvest.
The Feast of San Calogero on 18 June includes a rich liturgical calendar which culminates with the solemn procession of the simulacrum of the Patron Saint. Musical and entertainment shows are also organized on the occasion of the festival.
The San Calogero Festival in the month of August includes some rituals such as the weighing of children which traditionally takes place on the eve of the festival. Alongside religious events, various collateral events take place such as horse parades, popular games, folkloristic, musical and entertainment shows.
