Feast of Saint Paul in Pozzallo
The Feast of San Paolo in Pozzallo takes place in June and includes a rich calendar of religious and recreational events.
The celebrations begin with the solemn translation of the venerated simulacrum of Saint Paul the Apostle to the altar. On the day of the feast, the traditional offering of children wearing the devotional dress, the solemn Eucharistic celebration and the procession through the city streets takes place.
During the feast days, a rich program of recreational events is also organised, including the traditional Cunzatu Bread Festival.

08:00 A festive ringing of bells and the firing of 21 cannon shots will announce to the city the day of celebration.
10:00 FLORAL TRIBUTE TO SAINT PAUL.
OFFERING BY CHILDREN WHO WEAR THE DEVOTIONAL DRESS TO SAINT PAUL.
10:30 SOLEMN EUCHARIST CELEBRATION PRESIDED BY THE PARISH PRESIDENT.
ALL THE CATECHISTS AND THE “OASIS OF PRAISE” CHILDREN'S CHOIR WILL ENHANCE THE LITURGY.
AT THE END, ALL THE CHILDREN PRESENT WILL BE BLESSED AND CONSECRATED TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS.

18:45 PRAYER OF THE CHAPTER TO DIVINE MERCY AND HOLY ROSARY WITH LITANY TO SAINT PAUL.
19:30 SOLEMN EUCHARIST CELEBRATION PRESIDED BY THE PARISH PARISH AND CONCELEBRATED BY ALL THE PRIESTS OF THE VICARIATE WITH THE PRESENCE OF THE MAYOR, THE CIVIL AND MILITARY AUTHORITIES AND THE CITY'S SOCIETY. “PADRE AGOSTA” PARISH CHURCH.
THE ACT OF OFFERING OF ALL THE CONFRIARIES WILL BE FOLLOWED WITH THE RENEWAL OF THE PROMISES OF MEMBERSHIP.
20:30 AMONG A SHOW OF LIGHTS, SOUNDS AND PYROMUSICAL COLOURS, TRIUMPHAL AND CHARACTERISTIC EXIT OF THE VENERATED SIMULACRE OF SAINT PAUL AND START OF THE SOLEMN PROCESSION THROUGH THE CITY STREETS.
22:30 ARRIVAL OF THE VENERATED SIMULACRE OF SAINT PAUL THE APOSTLE AT THE PIETRENERE SEAFRONT (HEIGHT OF PIAZZETTA PADRE PIO) AND GREAT FIREWORKS SHOW.
