Feast of Shearing in Novara di Sicilia

The Shearing Festival in Novara di Sicilia is held every year in spring in the hamlet of San Marco. The event aims to promote the traditions of the land and ancient crafts, a great heritage that today risks disappearing.
During the Festa della Tosatura you can watch the preparation of typical local products such as ricotta and Majorcan, you can taste the typical local dishes such as pasta alla "curatta", i.e. pasta with sauce and pieces of mutton, and roast sheep. Stands are also set up with typical local handicraft products and folkloristic and entertainment shows are organised.
