Harvest Festival in Pachino
The Harvest Festival in Pachino takes place in September and is the festival dedicated to wine lovers, wine tourists and lovers of tradition.
Pachino, also known as Citta dei Palmenti, boasts an important tradition and wine production.
On the occasion of the event, which will be attended by numerous wineries in the area, it is possible to witness the various stages of the creation of the must as per tradition: carts full of grapes, l ancient rite of barefoot treading, dances and songs. Tastings, themed conferences, masterclasses, folkloristic, musical and entertainment shows, guided tours and the Palio della Botte, an amateur cooking competition where grapes are the protagonist, are also organised.
