Holy Week in Calascibetta, known as Holy Xibetana Week, is a religious solemnity deeply felt and participated in by the entire community.
On Palm Sunday the procession of u Signuruzzu da rama aliva takes place, during which a child on the back of a donkey, who plays the figure of Jesus Christ, is followed by the faithful holding palms and olive branches. In the afternoon the Via Crucis takes place with u Signuruzzu da rama aliva and the Cyrenean.
On Holy Thursday the Holy Mass is celebrated in Coena Domini in which the Twelve Apostles take part.
On Good Friday the traditional procession of Our Lady of Sorrows and of the Urn with the dead Christ takes place.
On Easter Sunday the traditional meeting of the simulacra of the Risen Christ and the Madonna takes place.
