Easter in Noto
During the Holy Week in Noto ancient, traditional and characteristic celebrations are held in which, every year, crowds of faithful and tourists participate.
On Holy Thursday the traditional visit to the tombs and altars of the reposition takes place and, during the Eucharistic celebration, there is the re-enactment of the washing of the feet.
On Good Friday the evocative procession of the Santa Spina, one of the thorns of Christ's crown kept in a golden casket, of the Dead Christ, of Our Lady of Sorrows and of the Mysteries that depict the moments of the Passion of Christ, accompanied by the brotherhoods of the city and by the sound of the trumpet and drum.
On Easter Sunday, in the Town Hall Square, the traditional meeting of the simulacra of the Risen Christ and the Madonna takes place.

Itinerary: via F.lli Ragusa, via Bovio, via M. Raeli, corso Vittorio Emanuele, viale Marconi, via Pola, church of the Pantheon.

13:00 Joyful encounter between the Risen Christ and the Madonna in Piazza Municipio.

13:30 Entrance of the two simulacra into the Cathedral Basilica of St. Nicholas where they will remain until April 27, 2025.
