Festival of Ancient Flavors in Tusa
The "Sagra degli Antichi Sapori" is aimed at promoting the area and at rediscovering the flavors and tastes of the dishes that have accompanied the community of Tusa since its origins.
More specifically, the aim of the event is precisely to offer visitors the typical flavors of the peasant tradition, promoting local products, such as broad beans, tomatoes, onions, extra virgin olive oil, oregano, cheese and ricotta, olives, bread, sausage, etc.
L The event will take place in the beautiful setting of the historic center of Tusa, in Piazza Mazzini, where stands will be set up for tasting the typical dishes of the Tusa tradition, such as: "squared honeycombs and olives", bruschetta with onion sauce and bruschetta with olive paté, "Tusane vases" with salted anchovies, tomato sauce and cheese, razor clams with ricotta and "biancomangiare alla tusana", as well as sandwiches with sausage and the typical sweet and sour onion sauce.
During the day there will be musical entertainment, which will alternate light music and Sicilian folk, interspersed with some ballroom dancing for the entertainment of adults and children.
