Vastedda festival in Torretta
The Vastedda Festival in Torretta takes place every year on December 8th, on the occasion of the feast of the Immaculate Conception.
The purpose of the festival is to celebrate the ancient agro-pastoral traditions of the village: the Vastedda and the wine, which constituted the typical rustic meal of the farmers, today represent a culinary specialty that preserves the traditions of this village.
During the event stands will be set up where you can taste the vastedde, freshly baked, seasoned with extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper, caciocavallo and ricotta accompanied by excellent local wine.
Folklore, musical and entertainment shows are also organised.
