Castel Vinci of Castanea delle Furie
The Castel Vinci di Castanea delle Furie is a private villa typical example of eclectic architecture that dates back to the first phase of reconstruction of Messina after the 1908 earthquake.
The Villa belongs to the Vinci family who has been present in Castanea since the eighteenth century. < br> The decorative repertoire of the Villa recalls a medieval style, with turrets, mullioned windows and grotesque friezes. The building, divided into various buildings, is in harmony with the landscape of the Peloritani mountains.
In addition to the original architecture and the luxuriant vegetation, the visit is pleasant and interesting thanks to the fact that along the garden there are various stone fragments and artifacts recovered from the destroyed city of Messina after the catastrophic earthquake of 1908 are exhibited.
