Rodì Milici is made up of the two small inhabited centers of Rodì and Milici, located three kilometers away from each other, perched on the Peloritani and bordered by the Patrì river.
From both inhabited areas you can enjoy a splendid panorama over the plain of Milazzo, the Aeolian Islands, Tindari and Castroreale.
The origins of Rodì Milici are very ancient: in its territory, on Monte Ciappa, the remains of the city Longane< /strong> founded by the autochthonous inhabitants of Sicani, who took refuge in the mountains upon the arrival of the Sicels. The existence of Longane is today certified by the presence of silver coins and a 5th century BC bronze caduceus, kept in the British Museum in London.
Rodì Milici boasts products of excellence being a place where agriculture and livestock are practiced according to ancient techniques and traditions. Some craftsmen continue to hand down the art of processing rushes.
