Ucria is a small village nestled in the Nebrodi Mountains.
Its history is very ancient: the traces found in these territories testify to the presence of human settlements since ancient times. The presence of two Saracen towers, however, testifies to how the village already existed in the Arab period and how this carried out a strategic control function.
Ucria was subject to the various dominations that alternated on the island (Norman, Swabian, Angevin and Aragonese) and the village still retains traces of it today through its monuments, its churches and its many museums, which have given it the nickname "Town of Museums".
