Benedictine convent in Cinisi
The Benedictine convent in Cinisi, now the seat of the strong> Town Hall, is the town's most significant monument.
The building is characterized by an imposing facade in Spanish style , which dominates the town and the surrounding area with its size. On the sides of the facade there are two cylindrical towers that date back to the 18th century.
In the central body, the rooms are of considerable artistic value. The first floor is accessed via a double flight of stairs in Billiemi stone. The painted wooden ceiling of the central room and the halls with tufa stone vaults are noteworthy.
The courtyard on the ground floor leads to the former church of Santa Caterina, today the council chamber.

The basements of the monastery, commonly known as caves, are of great charm. The basement consists of a large central room from which narrow tunnels and other raised rooms unravel, and it is assumed that they were used as warehouses for the monks.
