Introduction

Some events boast a centuries-old tradition that has made them famous throughout the world. Just to name a few, among the best-known folkloristic-religious events are the devils' dance in Prizzi, The Mysteries of Trapani, the Holy Week of Enna and the Easter in San Cataldo. Very particular are the Easter in Piana degli Albanesi and that in Palazzo Adriano still celebrated according to the Byzantine rite.
