Museum of Military Memorabilia in Chiaramonte Gulfi
The Military Historical Memorabilia Museum of Chiaramonte Gulfi houses the collection of Emanuele Gulino, with over a thousand exhibits that tell the Italian military history of the last two centuries.
The memorabilia on display in the museum mainly belong to the First World War, to the Fascist era and the Second World War. These are relics from the trenches of the Karst, from the battlefields of Africa, Greece and Russia.
The collection of military headdresses and helmets is of particular importance, some of which with entry and exit holes, others with radio headphones, belonging to various generations and States.
The collection of weapons is also noteworthy: a 76/40 Breda cannon, emblem of traditional warfare , gas masks, sabers, mines, hand grenades, a machine gun skeleton, a 1908 bullet, a machine gun ribbon, a torpedo-like bomb, large cannon shells, a triple tear gas canister, and various bodywork of aircraft, a 1943 tank for the aircraft's flight range.
Finally, there is a valuable collection of military costumes with every type of frieze and badge.
