Fountain of Garì in Vittoria
The Fontana del Gari di Vittoria is built in neoclassical style, with elements of neo-classicism and the Greco-Roman style.
It was built in 1721 by the Capuchin Friars who dug an aqueduct in the lands donated to them by Cristoforo Garì, initially had the simple function of drinking trough for animals. The drinking trough was renovated in 1879 by Rosario Cancellieri, who embellished it by inserting five bronze and cast iron lion heads from where the water flows, thus making it more like a real fountain. The architectural structure is in Comiso stone.
The fountain is located in a strategic point, near one of the town's exits, to facilitate its use for those entering or leaving the city to get water.
