The city of Cassibile is located in a splendid geographical position, its territory includes the Cavagrande Nature Reserve, famous for its lakes and necropolis.
Historically Cassibile is known as the place where Allies landed in July of 1943, and where on 8 September 1943 the armistice of Cassibile was signed between generals Castellano and Bedell Smith.
Cassibile is known for its rural village, considered the most consistent example of the remains, which still exist and can be visited, of the ancient peasant world. Cassibile is known for its coastline, marvelous beaches, promontories, rugged areas and splendid sea.
