Arenella Beach
The Spiaggia dell'Arenella , located south of the center of Syracuse , is a beautiful beach of soft golden sand that extends into a small bay closed by a low and rocky promontory.
The Arenella area is made up of a large central beach, beautiful rocky stretches, a small side beach and an even smaller but beautiful hidden beach that can only be reached on foot. The crystal clear waters of Arenella and its fine white sand make it a perfect place to spend a day at the beach with family or friends. The central beach is also served by two lidos that offer catering and any type of bathing comfort, it is also possible to rent canoes and pedal boats.
The area is served by several pubs, pizzerias and seaside restaurants which often organize concerts and events of various kinds during the summer season.
The beach is easily accessible by city bus which leaves every hour from Ortigia, and also offers convenient parking nearby.
