Baci di pantelleria or baci panteschi are Sicilian sweets made up of two crunchy wafers that are prepared with a simple batter and are cooked in deep oil, using a special iron, a metal mold in the shape of a stylized flower corolla, butterfly and star. In this way the shape will remain impressed and the pancakes take on a unique appearance. To keep the two pancakes together in an indivisible embrace, there is a delicious ricotta cream scented with cinnamon with chocolate chips. The pancakes obtained can also be tasted with custard.
