The Menfi Controlled Designation of Origin includes the entire territory of the municipality of Menfi and small neighboring municipalities. Precisely in this area, in ancient times, stood the ancient Inyco, a well-known producer of wines: already in the sixth century Stephen of Byzantium emphasized the excellence of the millenary tradition of grape juice in this area. Menfi DOC wines, both white and red, are characterized by floral and fruity aromas and with the right flavor on the palate. Riserva and Superiore wines are characterized by greater concentration and structure and secondary aromas.
