Castelvetrano Black Bread is an ancient specialty of Castelvetrano, a village in the province of Trapani. It is a protected and manned product for its unique characteristics. It has a dark and hard crust, sprinkled with sesame seeds, soft and yellow crumb. It is mixed with two flours, the Sicilian durum wheat one and the timilìa, rigorously stone-ground. It is cooked in wood ovens without direct flame that give the bread its sweet and intense taste.
