The Trapani sea salt is a Sicilian PGI product, produced exclusively in the province of Trapani and in particular within two beautiful protected areas: the natural reserve of the salt pans of Trapani and Paceco and the salt pans of the Stagnone. Sea salt is obtained simply by letting the sea water evaporate inside the so-called salt pans, located on the Trapani coast. Compared to other cooking salts, Trapani PGI sea salt contains more potassium and magnesium and less sodium chloride.
