The Salina IGT denomination includes vines from the Messina provinces. Salina IGT bianco is obtained with Insolia and Catarratto grapes. The color is straw yellow with golden reflections, clear and quite persistent on the nose. It has floral notes of broom and orange blossom. The taste is dry, quite warm, fresh with good acidity and flavor. Salina IGT Rosso is produced with Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccino and Corinto Nero grapes. It has a ruby red color, the scent is reminiscent of the wild herbs typical of the Mediterranean scrub and the taste is characterized by nuances of marasca cherry and wild blackberry.
